OF1. The iconic Malmsbury Railway Viaduct in central Victoria. Set up for a colourful sunset that did not really eventuate, however this passenger train was captured on its way to Bendigo. An image for the future is to capture a steam train with plumes of steam and smoke billowing out. Research with Steamrail for that one
OF2. Taken in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia.. Not only native wildlife, but a surprise to find Merino wool sheep here as well.
OF3. Taken at Melbourne's Arts Centre, an iconic location where the window of running water attracts in some way to touch, feel and photograph by every visitor. This one, titled "Jumping for Dad" appeals as the younger sibling on the right has been jumping for dad to get the perfect shot for far too long! That's Mum & Dad middle right Big brother on the left is still full of enthusiasm!
OF4. Part of the 1917 Australian International Airshow held every other year at Avalon Airport, Geelong, Victoria. The old bi-planes deserve a black & white image.
OF5. Anther display from the airshow, this shot of an aerobatic expert who literally made the plane hang in the air. This one is titled "Defying Gravity" and has done reasonably well in competitions. As you see it is the position and angle of the plane as it moved upright and backward across the sky.
OF6. Titled "Go Girl", this image to me requires black and white and a white vignette, frowned upon by a lot of judges these days, but who cares.
OF7. Taken behind the excitement and drama on the rodeo arena. These young ladies can't help but express the enjoyment of the ride. What fun! That this image is a little soft just doesn't matter
OF8. Titled "The Lonesome Cowboy". He came off the steer in a millisecond and had a solemn walk off the arena
OF10. Lake Nillahcootie, between Mansfield and Benalla, Victoria. I pass this lake often on travels to and From Melbourne. When the mood and atmosphere are right, I stop for the photo opportunity
OF11. Melbourne hosts the "night market" at the Queen Victoria Market. Lots of food, music and entertainment for the kids. This guy's smokin' cooking up a storm.
OF13. An old picture theater at Gippstown, Gippsland Victoria.
OF14. Classic open wheelers, Phillip Island racing circuit. Taken on one of my first field trips with Casey Camera Club...theme... Sports/Action. Casey was my first club, with many friends still via social media.
OF15. Titled "Cows on the hill". Near Yea, Victoria
OF16. On a summer's evening, the young men show off their skate boarding skills at St.Kilda beach
OF17. This sculpture was originally on Peninsula Link, titled "Star Burst on Peninsula Link", now located at the McCellan Gallery in Frankston, Victoria. The starburst is the street light, pole removed.
OF18. A first attempt at ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) taken a few years ago. This image has a place in my heart, as the Camera Cub judge loved it and gave it first place!
OF19. The cloud formation caught my eye under the railway bridge at Malmsbury, Central Victoria
